New Queensland Beef Processing Industry Campaign Launched to Attract Employees

We’re proud to announce that together with the Queensland Government and industry partners, the Queensland Beef Processing Industry website and campaign has been launched.  As one of Queensland's largest manufacturing sectors, the campaign encourages people to explore the plethora of career opportunities available in them.

Similar to many other industries throughout the state, the past couple of years have proved to be challenging. While there is a large number of available job and career opportunities available in Queensland’s beef processing industry, employers are finding it difficult to fill these job vacancies.

We recognise that the manufacturing careers within the beef industry can offer long-term, stable career pathways across a variety of roles - including trade, administrative and more - working with a beef processing company opens the doors to a vast range of career options.

To support the future development of Queensland’s manufacturing industry, the campaign not only aims to attract the existing available workforce, but also to inspire students to pursue a career in beef. The new website aims to showcase this breadth and diversity to inspire both students and job seekers to consider a career in one of Queensland’s largest industries.

Included on the new website is a big collection of industry-supplied resources for STEAM school teachers to use in class. These aim to educate and broaden the understanding among students in relation to just how vast career opportunities are in the Queensland beef processing industry.

While QMI led the development of this website, it wouldn’t have been possible without the strong collaboration between the Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning and industry partners.

We encourage the Queensland beef processing industry and community to support this initiative by encouraging their network to visit and explore the new Queensland Beef website.
